rice pudding

With just 3 basic ingredients you get a really tasty pudding. I always add cinnamon before eating it since I am quite addicted with the taste of it!

Ingredients:

  • 1200 gr low fat milk

  • 120 gr uncooked white rice

  • 100 gr sugar of your choice

  • vanilla powder

  • cinnamon

  • raisins (optional)

Instructions:

Pour all the ingredients except for the cinnamon into a pot, which is placed in the fire. When the milk starts boiling, lower the heat and cover the pot with its lid. Leave it simmer for about 25-30 minutes, stirring intermittently with a spoon. Make sure that the heat is very low to so as to make the rice paddle but not boil. It is ready when the rice has softened and the mixture becomes thick. Remove and fill individual bowls. Leave them to cool and put them in the refrigerator where you can keep for 4 days maximum. Serve with cinnamon or stewed fruit.

*Tip: What also creates a nice combination is the addition of raisins before transferring to the bowls!
